One Point Survey Officiate a Guinness World Record Attempt

One Point were invited to officiate a Guinness world record attempt last week at Farnborough Motor Show.

The record attempt was for the tightest parallel park in an electric vehicle.

The attempt was successful!

Stunt driver, Paul Swift, managed to hand break turn and parallel park between 2 parked cars, leaving only 350mm!

He then went on to beat his own record a few days later in which the gap was 300mm!!

To help out with measuring this attempt as accurately as possible, we provided a Leica iCON ICR80 and AP20 smart pole.

These instruments were used to provide accurate measurements of the electric car used for the attempt and then measured the gap between the two parked cars.
